Amanda Laird Cherry

Amanda Laird Cherry is an established South African design house that believes in fashion that gives you the power - the power to choose and the freedom to explore your own aesthetic. It’s fashion that doesn’t discriminate. This was the driving force behind the rebranding of ALC Menswear into the inclusive new clean-cut ALCA label - establishing a unisex closet for designer everyday wear. This range sits perfectly alongside the wearable women’s designer label, Amanda Laird Cherry.

The Challenge

The brief was to help relaunch the existing label and rebrand the ALC Men’s label - in order to clarify, distinguish and unify the offerings and propel the Amanda Laird Cherry brand with strategic online advertising campaigns providing an experience to the desired target audience. To achieve this, we needed to leverage a multi-channel approach to drive awareness and build brand equity.

Our goals were:

1. To design and develop a modern and aesthetically appealing website that communicates the core differentials and deliverables of the brand.

2. To build brand credibility in the online space.

3. To ensure seamless navigation for the end-user.

4. To ensure that the team has full access to the back end of the website and can simply navigate updates and edits required without the need for additional monthly maintenance costs.

The Solution

We proposed the build of a Shopify website to ensure full website security on a "closed platform" that wouldn’t require regular plug-in updates and monthly security maintenance fees. In addition, our aim was to optimise search engine ranking on Google and drive clear "calls to action" on every website page.

In the interim prior to relaunch, we created a transitional landing page to communicate the coming offerings.

The new website was launched in December 2023.
