Thrive is a well-loved, local provider of healthcare products and services. They offer an integrated solution to health and wellness through an in-store health shop, pharmacy, juice bar, and health care support. Their mission is to be the number one integrated health care provider in South Africa by offering their customers the opportunity to lead well-balanced lives through a combination of traditional pharmaceutical care, wellness treatments, supplementation, and alternative health options. Their passion is to address the body and the mind, searching for underlying causes of symptoms, instead of simply covering them up with medications. This is what they believe truly allows one to be healthy.

The Challenge
We were tasked with positioning Thrive in the South African pharmaceutical and retail market in a way that conveyed their holistic service offering, as well as their culture of care. In order to do this, we needed to discover Thrive’s reason for being and devise a strategy that would consistently communicate this.
The Solution
Working closely with the Thrive team, we re-named and re-branded the business, transforming the visual identity from a Link Pharmacy franchise that was established in the 1950s, to a brand that is light, fresh, and inviting. A new store was designed to eliminate the previous clutter, reinvent the clinic space, and accommodate for its ever-growing services, which included a juice bar and additional consulting rooms.
Multifaceted print, digital marketing, and communication strategies were introduced and implemented. The result is an aesthetically appealing brand and store which resonates with the needs and desires of the community at hand.
