The Challenge
Symbolism in branding can represent personality and contribute to recognition rate. When our client embarked on an evolutionary transition into Connect Logistics, we were briefed to craft a new brand identity with a futuristic element, whilst still encapsulating their role in connecting people and processes.
The Solution
The futuristic cube created for Connect Logistics, is underpinned by a sense of movement and direction. With a nod to sustainability through leaf-like veins, the icon also alludes to the container shape.
The Hexagon is foundational to the structure of DNA, it is the shape that produces molecular structures that create life. Designed for composite unity and strength, its equal parts and sides fit together leaving no gaps as it scales. Bees knew it before mathematicians proved it.
In Architecture the hexagon is used for its structural stability and strength. In engineering, it is proven to be the shape that creates the best possible torque. It is inherently modular, agile, and speaks of strategic solutions.
Although proudly South African, the logo needed to carry an international feel. This is brought through in the three elements of colour. The Connect Blue used not only speaks to trust and innovation, but is practical for application on truck sails which are exposed to harsh elements.
Working through a rebranding process with trusted clients is always rewarding - especially when the result is an authentic transformation that elevates and breathes new life while honouring their unchanging values and unwavering offering to their clients.
