NUVO™ is a South African rubber technology group that specialises in the research, development and production of rubber compounds and products. With state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure, the group has diversified with a suite of highly developed products across three distinct brands: NUVO™ Rubber Compounders, NUVO™ Solid Tyres and NUVO™ Pre-cured Tread.

The Challenge

NUVO™, originally known as Natal Rubber Compounders, had a well-established name in the market but their existing visual identity was inconsistent and didn’t adequately reflect their full scope of offerings. We were tasked with uncovering the essence of NUVO™ in order to refine the brand vision, position, architecture, and visual identity. The goal was to design and develop a future-forward brand. The challenge was to strategically position them as a global player in the market.

The Solution

We began our brand development process with a series of probing questions that would help us dive deep into who the company is and where it was headed. During our vision-building process, we uncovered both their purpose to exceed expectations through advanced technology, innovation and sustainable business practices, as well as the mechanisms of progress required to fulfill their purpose.

Web Design

Following this we started to carve out NUVO™’s place in the market, positioning them as local suppliers of premium products that speak to international excellence. We then needed to make sure that a consistent brand message was delivered on all brand touchpoints, leading to the development of an SEO-optimised website. Over the past seven years, we have continued working with NUVO™ on all marketing collateral, as well as ongoing organic marketing content to reinforce thought leadership within the rubber industry.
