The Challenge

As the company began to pivot toward a competitive B2C market, it required a fresh, distinct brand identity to adequately reflect the brand essence. The challenge was to develop a visual identity that would differentiate Shiptech, while uniquely positioning them in an increasingly crowded marketplace.

The Solution

We conceptualised and refined the Shiptech brand identity to ensure that it embodied the patriotic nature of the company, while communicating its key differentials to the South African petroleum industry. We began designing a brand icon that called attention to the essence of the brand. The icon uniquely represents elements of transport, journey and movement. The inspiration behind the colour yellow stems from African sunsets, which spark a sense of nostalgia and leaves one with an indelible tie to one’s African roots.

We designed a signage guide to support the franchise strategy and ensure a consistent and unified brand experience, no matter the location. Following this, we designed a website that would align with the new brand identity and foster an emotional connection with their audience. To create awareness of Shiptech’s offering and endeavours, we’ve curated a launch marketing plan, together with ongoing organic social media content that showcases the brand and everything it has to offer.
